What is organic certification?
The CCPAE is the official body responsible for controlling, certifying, and promoting organic products in Catalonia.
Its seal guarantees that food has been produced and processed without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, respecting natural cycles, biodiversity, and soil health.
What does renewing this certification involve?
Organic certification ensures that products have been produced or processed in compliance with organic farming regulations and have been monitored throughout the entire process — from production and processing to packaging and marketing. Entre estos controles se incluyen los siguientes:
1. Annual inspection of farms and warehouses
CCPAE technicians visit our plantations and facilities to verify compliance with the European organic production regulation.
2. Review of records and traceability
We carry out thorough tracking of every batch of fruit or vegetables: when it was planted, what treatments it received, how it was transported, and which client it was delivered to. Everything must be documented. Todo debe estar documentado.
3. Sampling and laboratory analysis
Random samples of our products are taken and analyzed in laboratories to ensure they contain no chemical residues or prohibited contaminants.
